PURCHASE OF SHARES
All intending clients must complete our account opening documentation. Spaces for street address, e-mail address, daytime telephone numbers as well as cell phone numbers should be completed.
PROCEDURE FOR PURCHASE OF SHARES
We undertake the responsibility of purchase and sale of shares for our clients. The above functions are carried out under the following guidelines:
- Client completes SFC Mandate form.
- Mandate to Buy must include price limits where applicable or marked “market price” where client desires that purchases/sales be made at prevailing market price.
- The securities to be purchased together with the units must be clearly stated on the mandate.
PRIMARY MARKET ACTIVITIES
The transaction flow for subscription for primary market activities is divided into:

Customers of SFC

Walk-in subscriber
SFC, being a Securities & Exchange Commission (“SEC”) registered Broker/Dealer and a Member of the Nigerian Stock Exchange is authorised to receive subscription monies from members of the public for public offerings and private placements approved by the SEC.
SUBSCRIPTION BY SFC CUSTOMERS

SFC customers may subscribe for public offerings/private placements by depositing a cheque or payment of cash for the credit of their account.

The client will thereafter be required to complete an authority to debit form which purpose shall be the “consideration” for the securities so subscribed for.

A duly completed subscription form must be submitted with the authority to debit form.
- Stockbroking unit ensure that the receipt issued to the client bears the purpose of the deposit.
Customers with credit balances may wish to utilize such balances to subscribe for a public offer. In this regard, the customer will be required to complete an authority to debit form which copy shall be forwarded to Financial Control by Stockbroking Operations.
SUBSCRIPTION BY WALK-IN CUSTOMERS
It is usual during public offerings to have certain individuals who do not maintain accounts with SFC but wish to subscribe through the Company.
